What an honor it was to provide the live broadcast of the 150th anniversary of the Musikverein in Vienna in co-production with and for ORF III. A hall and stage full of celebrities. Exactly at the same time and the same day that the opening concert started 150 ago, the first notes of exactly the same program. We had to miss Mariss Jansons, the intended conductor, but the Vienna Philharmonic has found a worthy replacement in Semyon Bychkov. And with solo contributions by Anne-Sophie Mutter and Piotr Beczala, it was a unique TV document.
