The annual Opening Night of the Concertgebouw Orchestra was to be conducted by Frans Welser-Möst with Janine Jansen as soloist in Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto. But it turned out very differently. Both had to cancel due to injuries and then suddenly the young conductor Elim Chan was on the podium, next to violinist Simone Lamsma. But what a beautiful concert that was! Polycast recorded this concert in 4K and the program was broadcast internationally.
